Who's Looking At What: Web Statistics
Curious where your web site visitors are going on your site? Want to know where they are coming from?
There are many kinds of web log analyzers out there. You can start by using the Webalizer program from the Webmin control panel on your server:
- Choose the Servers option
- Webalizer Logfile Analysis
- Add a new logfile for analysis
- Set 'Base logfile path' to /var/log/httpd/access_log
- Set the report directory. e.g. to: /var/log/httpd/
- Save the report
- Go back into the report, and hit the 'Generate Report' button.
When you view the report you'll see information like when are your popular times of day, which files are served most often, and from which countries are your visitors surfing.
