After resolving that and adding further test steps this migraiton is continuing. The maintenance window has been extended by one hour to allow this change adequate time to be completed fully.

Sun, 17 Oct 2021 23:02 PM UTC: During this change we hit an issue that caused a loop in our core network for some customers. Resulting in connectivity to servers being lost. Changes have been rolled back, to restore service. We are reviewing what caused that presently. Normal service should be restored.

Summary:
Rimuhosting intends to carry out network changes in Auckland Datacenter. The work is to migrate the network core to new hardware.

Customer impact:
Some customers may experience packet loss or slightly increased latency as traffic is routed to alternate paths. There should be minimal/no impact otherwise.
